According to Peruvian law is not necessary, your driver's license from you country is valid up to 6 months since your arrival, or up to the maximum length of stay authorized by Immigration upon your arrival in the country.Can I go outside Lima with the rented car?
With a few exceptions yes you can. The car groups that are not allowed for travelling outside Lima Metropolitan Area are Group A and M (Kia Picanto).Just remember to always choose a vehicle according your planned route, if for example you know the road may be in not perfect conditions you must rent a SUV.

We have always cleaned the cars between each rental, and of course due to the COVID-19 emergency we have improved our disinfection processes.
Is it mandatory to hire a Protection?
The protections are not mandatory, but we recommend hiring at least the Partial Collision Waiver (PDW) since it protects the rented vehicle with a deductible of up to US$ 1,200 in the event of a collision or total theft of the vehicle.
